How to celebrate 125 years of History?

Easy, sack your manager & his stupid side kick, but not only sack them, do it just before your 1st UEFA Cup home game, Doh!!

It was a crazy night, I was watching bits of this England V Spain relegation clash, the game was 1-1, I turned over to Sky Sports News to catch some other scores – only to see the famous yellow ticker, tickering away with some Breaking News “Jol had resigned as Spuds manager before the game”.

What!! But I had only just seen him on the side-lines, so I turned back - & what great timing, Getafe scored their 2nd  & what turned out to be the winner. Jol was still there. At the end of the game, we had David “kerb crawler” Pleat telling us what a great club Spuds are & talking loads of bollox. Last night when I went to bed, Martin Jol had resigned. The story had “leaked out” during the game, very very un-professional of a PLC. This morning when I get up, they had in fact sacked him.

Oh dear, oh dear, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club PLC, you my friends are one great big funking joke!!

Lets get on with some real football now, this Sunday we travel to Liverpool for what most fans are saying is the biggest test so far for our Young Guns. But is it?

Spuds @ the Lane is usually a hard game, even if they are sitting in the bottom three. However, seeing as Arsene has only ever lost to that lot ONCE since he has been our boss, can it really be classed as big game anymore?

Maybe Bolton last weekend was a better test for how far the team have come? We managed to match them in the 1st half with all that physical stuff, then in the 2nd half our superior fitness levels & younger legs started to kick in. With Super Tom & Young Theo coming off the bench to run rings around those tired old cloggers, they had no chance. Talking of Bolton: Gary Megson. What a joke, shit manager for a shit team, lets hope the ginger twat takes them down, last time he was in the premiership he managed a massive 26 points with WBA, maybe Bolton deserve Megson, it’s called karma. In a local Bolton paper, out of 699 fans that voted, a massive 12 voted for Megson as 1st choice to be the next manager. The bloke is less popular than the BNP in Bolton!! If he does not last the course with Bolton, maybe he could then take over down the lane & take them down instead?

Anyway, back to us, midweek we had very different fortunes compared to Liverpool, we spanked Slavia 7-0. They lost 2-1 in Turkey to Besiktas. So maybe it will not be that hard after all? Then again, since that night in ’89, when has been going to Anfield in the league been easy? Simple answer: never. Therefore maybe it is our biggest test so far.

With ManUre @ home the following weekend, how many points will you be happy with? 2, 3, 4, 6? Offer me 2 points now, I would consider taking that. I don’t want 3, as I don’t want to consider losing a game, but if we do lose one, make it this weekend V Liverpool. I don’t want to lose @ home to the Mancs.

Stan Kroenke is over in the UK right now, something to do with some worldwide sports meeting thingy, funny isn’t it, last season we were all going mad about our club being bought by some septic tank, but now fatty Usmanov is on the scene (thanks Dien, you c0ck), Stan seems like quite a nice bloke!!! He has been saying the right things as well: Long term investment, he would consider joining the new lock down agreement if asked & all that sort of stuff, this is one story with a very long way to go yet.

Talking of septic tanks, I am not going to Liverpool this Sunday!! I’m off to Wembley to see the 1st ever regular season NFL game outside of North America. New York Giants @ Miami Dolphins (well, @ Wembley rather than Miami), The Giants are 5-2, on a 5-win streak. Whereas the Dolphins are 0-7. I was very glad when they announced this game as I have always liked the gridiron & my team is the Giants. So this weekend, I will mainly be hoping for a Giants & Arse away double. (Giant & Arse – talking about Usmanov again). Lets hope I don’t bump into any Septic’s in Pink Cowboy Hats @ Wembley. That would not be nice.

Finally, a belated thank you to all the lads from the Rocket that carried our “Love Arsenal – Hate Usmanov” banner on the Anti-Usmanov march to the ground last weekend. It looked very good. I can’t believe it, but the club have told us they will not allow REDaction to hang this banner with “Sod of Jabba” at the ends!! Another case of the clubs political correctness gone mad?

I need to get Ben to show me how to load pictures onto this blog, so until then, you can have a look at a few pictures of the march here:

Ed - Done!
Ben - Job Done

More next Friday from REDaction, I will be able to give you more details of Anti-Usmanov events REDaction have planned for next weekends game V ManUre……..

  1. What a club the scum are, you just can’t believe it, sack the manager, and let him take charge, what a waste of space. Bring on Ramos, he’ll be worse than Joll, got luck in the relagation battle. I hope they don’t go down!! We need those 6 points!!
