Wembley Wembley

Walcott soon be known as ‘Theo King of Wembley’ makes his first appearance at Wembley, see above. Gilberto made a full 90 minutes at Wembley tonight. He made a solid performance, certainly more impressive than fatty lampard. Headline: Henry sidesteps questions on Arsenal future. Shock!! He’s told the media chumps, he’s not going anywhere, he can’t be arsed to talk about it. Aliadiere who is leaving Arsenal is very close to agreeing a move to Middlesbro’.
Lehmann has said he knows he’s not guaranteed a starting place. Well who the hell is number one? I think you are Jens. Keep up the good work you nutcase. I was pleased to see in the Manq Evening News we are in the hunt for Pederson. If we are serious, the only two ahead of us in the running are Chavs’ & Liverpool. This gives us half a chance of actually getting him. I think he would really suit our game. Also the fact he is used to the Premiership will add to his prospects of being a major success at Arsenal.
Come on Wenger snap the Gamst up.
Saturday Night: You should be down the pub
June 2, 2007 on 10:41 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No CommentsAccording to the Daily Mail Barca have made a £20Mil bid for Thierry Henry that will surely be rejected. What the hell would we get for £20Mil?

Another White Kit
Yet more speculation on the new Arsenal Away kit. This design actually does look like a proper shirt though.
Arsenal have accepted Boro’s offer for Aliadiere. It is now up to Jezza to decided if the North East is where he can settle.
Now it’s Saturday night, you should be pissed up not surfing the net!
Incredible Sulk to Manure?
June 3, 2007 on 10:26 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No CommentsThierry Henry, Barca want a sign to say you want to leave and move over there, do you have to say it again. Thierry Henry stays at Arsenal. Oh and now Milan have decided they want him too. Is this not obvious, you could name every club in the World and no be lying by saying they want Henry, he is the best player in the world.
Newcastle want Wenger and Dein to take the club forward, yeah right, they are gonna move up North. I don’t think so. Keep you Fat Sam you deserve him.
Arsenal have again been linked with want away Barca kid Saviola, I say kid he’s now 25 and yet to fill his potential, but as with everyone we want so does the whole of the Premiership.
Just looking at the betting for The Premiership next season we are currently running at 7/1, one of the longest starting price for many seasons, I fancy that.
Arsenal have now signed another ‘youth’ his name is Kyle Bartley and he comes to us from Bolton, he is 16 and the FA describe him as ‘A physically dominant central defender with great strength, Kyle is an imposing presence at the heart of the defence. His strength and defensive reactions are assured, and he is confident when attacking the ball in the air.‘ Now it must be the turn of a new full international to sign for The Arsenal. Pederson?
Did you ever think you hate Anelka more than you already did, well he could be a manq next season, so you will. If he does I hope we get them early next season so I can enjoy abusing him some more!!
Another Right Back?
June 4, 2007 on 9:04 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No CommentsArsenal have today been linked with a £6Mil move for Bakari Sagna from Auxere, although Bakari seems a very talented player, why would Wenger want another right back after signing up Eboue and Hoyte on new contracts. I think this must be another one of those space filling slots for The Sun!!
Reyes is now being closely linked to a move back to Sevilla, that will hopefully stop his moaning. This guy really does lack ambition, a bit of home sickness and he’ll give up on anything, embarrassing.
On International watch Lehmann, Gilberto, Gallas, Rosicky, Hleb, and Djourou all got a full 90 for their countries at the weekend with more fixtures coming up this week. Cesc, Ade, and Eboue are all on international duty still too with Hoyte on his way to the U21 Euro Championships. So much for a summer break! Just prey they all keep fit. We need to start the season in top gear!

International Week
June 6, 2007 on 9:55 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No Comments
How boring is it to be an England Fan? I know the lads won tonight but I had to switch off at half time. Malouda is now being really strongly linked with Arsenal. We had already stated that he was being linked with Arsenal in early May but the market is moving quickly now and the French Midfielder fancies a move to the Gooners although money may take him to the chavs. This could be the reason Arsene has let Ribery begin talks with Bayern.
Hleb won a penalty for Belarus tonight away at Bulgaria but the team lost 2-1. Alex showed his human side yesterday when he met a group from the Bulgarian Supporters Club and spent loads of time with them signing autographs etc. He must have been shocked to land in Bulgaria and to get a welcoming committee. On the International front Freddie did a full 90 tonight for the Swede’s in a 5-nil win against Iceland. Lehmann also kept his place in the Germany team as he promised. He also played the full 90. Gallas was in the French side but their was no place for Gael Clichy. Great news for Cesc who played 67 minutes for the Spanish. As for England, I have slated them as above, Beckham was again the match winner. Showing what McLaren knows about picking the best players in their positions, he’ll probably drop Becks again even though he has set up the 4 England goals in the last 2 matches, let’s hope England can do the obvious and qualify for the Euros’.
Arsenal.com embraced the positive impact Clichy has made on the Arsenal team after Casher went for the Cash. Gael has had a great season and it has earned him Arsenal’s fourth best player of the season. I think next season Gael will go onto to be the best left-back in the English league.
Fair play to Ajax for keeping the cost of tickets down at the Amsterdam tournament, only £26 per day. Not bad especially with the talent on show. With Easyjet doing flights for just £50 it’s a cheap little trip for the red-light connoisseurs’.
Ade is not shit!!
June 7, 2007 on 9:52 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | 1 CommentIs this silly season or what? Yaya Toure, you remember played on trial at Arsenal, did really well, could have had him for nothing, remember? Well we are now in a transfer battle for him with Everton, Inter, Barca, and more. What is going on? and it’s gonna be about £10Mil too? Does not make any sense, I’m sure we must only been linked with him because we have already had him, what a cock up if we end up spending decent money on him!
As suspected yesterday we have missed out on Ribery and he has signed for Bayern for £17Mil, out of our league in my opinion, and they have also snapped up Luca Toni. They will be a big challenger next season in the CL now they have replaced Hargreaves and Pizarro in style.
I read yesterday that Djourou is off to Brum on a season long loan. Oh well, that’s the end of him then, these loans are becoming a problem. At least we’ll get 6 points against Brum when they lose Johan for the 2 matches against The Gooners.
I’m a little confused why Adebayor feels he has to justify his form at Arsenal. I think he has had a successful season at The Arsenal. Considering the form of others this season and the fact he is 23 he has done well, he actually said to 442 mag “I need to work on my finishing, but I’m not so shit in front of goal,” this sort of talk must be damaging to Ade. He is a top player and has even been linked with a move to Manure, he doing well and I rate the guy. I hope he is given a break, if his confidence is high he will hit great form next season.
Henry now off to Milan, still boring.
June 8, 2007 on 9:50 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No CommentsClichy is the next great left back, I concur. This view comes from a French Paper, the French see Gael as having the potential to be a World Class Left Back. Clichy is seen as the third choice for French Left Back behind Abidal and Evra.
Most of the press have again focused on Henry and this time it’s destination Milan. Henry is flattered at Milan’s’ interest in him, the press have also reeled off a load of chat about how TH is not happy that Dein has left. What the press don’t pick up on is Tel also saying “As I have said many times, at the moment I am an Arsenal player.” I hope by the start of the season the boardroom details are ironed out and Dein, apparently a Gooner, has made some sort of positive statement. It seems David Dein’s’ son is an advisory for Henry (according to bbc.com), maybe this is why the press has so many stories, I spy an agent feeding info to the press.
Not much else to report so here’s an amusing picture . . .

Thank you Aliadiere
June 9, 2007 on 9:07 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No CommentsThis is now the time when boredom steps in and I am hungry for the season to start again. I think the fixtures list comes out on Thursday so I am looking forward to that.
The deal for Jeremie Aliadiere to move to Boro has been agreed and it seems Jezza has agreed terms. Leaving Arsenal with two strikers out of the squad, only Bendtner returning from loan. It makes it very clear now Arsenal will need to sign a top striker to fill that squad place. Jezza has been a very loyal Gooner, he has always been positive for Arsenal, and has always stated he wanted to stay at the club. That is a very good trait to have in the current climate in football so good luck to him.
Lehmann will have upset many Germans today by stating he stayed at Arsenal and did not return to the German league because of the superior standard at Arsenal “I play in a team where the quality is very high,” He said that he would not find the same qualities in any team in Germany.
I saw on Sky Sports News Ancelotti has played down links with Henry, maybe that is due to the fact they only play with one central striker and Gilardino has committed his future to Milan. They also have Inzaghi, Oliveira, Borriello, & Ronaldo. Adding Henry would be plain greedy.
It was good to see John Terry and his England colleague’s have realised they do not deserve to be paid for their performances for England. They will be donating their England match fees to Charity up until 2010.
Wenger returns from Holiday in Italy next week and he certainly has a lot to deal with, questions of Henry leaving, Dein’s exit (again), and unrest amongst other in the squad, I wouldn’t be surprised if he extended his break until mid-July.
Wenger stays and will sign exceptional players
June 10, 2007 on 9:31 pm | In Arsenal FC | posted by Block19er | No CommentsDon’t you just love the News of the World, apparently Arsenal are in turmoil, and everything is all over for us. We may as well throw our season tickets in the bin. LOSERS!! At least Wenger is staying as they say. According to them we have no money to sign any players either, funny every other page in the paper links us to a different player. Plus we are gonna loose Henry. It doesn’t seem to matter that our gate receipts are now one of the highest in the World. It doesn’t seem to matter we are pocketing £60Mil in TV rights. If only these guys had proper stories to fill their column inches!
Wenger was reported to be laughing (but not denying) at reports we are to sign Malouda a story that will not go away. Also Owen has again been linked with The Arsenal as his agent in touting him around to the big four. At least The News of The World can’t claim those signings to be their stories as we have no money to buy them.
It was funny to read that Newcastle were in for the Amsterdam tournament until Arsenal stepped up. They were told sorry but a better club have come along, he, he, he, how pissed off would Fat Sam have been?
I’d like to end with Wenger’s returning comments, he will be staying at Arsenal, he also said “We will bring in new people only if they are exceptional players.”
